Medical sector employees to get higher wages
Chisinau, Oct. 5 /MOLDPRES/- Amendment to the mandatory healthcare insurance funds law (FAOAM) for 2023 was voted today in the first reading by 73 MPs.
According to the draft law, worked out by the Ministry of Health, it is proposed to increase by about 399 million lei or 12.8% both the revenues and the expenses of FAOAM.
Increase in expenses is necessary to increase by 15% the salaries of the medical staff in public medical and sanitary institutions included in the system of compulsory medical assistance insurance starting from October 1, 2023.
Over 69 million lei will be spent on the procurement of medical services for the provision of medical assistance to patients with acute stroke, as well as in special programs.
