
Ministry of Education to continue National Digital Literacy Program
Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC) will continue the National Digital Literacy Program, stage II, during which, on 28 June -2 July, 35 regional trainers and 271 local trainers were trained, who will ensure training of teachers in early education institutions.
Also, 10,285 teachers from early education institutions enrolled in the program, who are to be trained on 12 July -20 August.
The National Digital Literacy Program, stage II, provides both the training of digital skills for beginners and the development and consolidation of digital skills for holders of the intermediate level of digital skills.
"The training will be done differently, so out of the total number of beneficiaries are 1,339 teachers with beginner level, and with intermediate and advanced level - 8,946," says MECC.
Stage II of the program is supported by UNICEF, with financial support of USAID.
The training program consists of 90 hours, of which 24 with contact and 66 individual work.
The Ministry of Education launched in July 2020 the National Program for digital literacy of teachers in general education. It aims at ensuring the development of digital skills of teachers. In the first stage of the Program, 20,045 teachers from primary, secondary and high school were trained.
