Foreign Ministry issued travel warning to Italy
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a warning for Moldovan citizens who are in, transiting through, or planning to travel to the Italian Republic, in the context of an orange code warning for bad weather conditions issued by the Italian Civil Protection Department.
The warning targets regions in central Italy, particularly Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna and Marche for the period of February 14-16, 2025.
According to the ministry, the island of Elba is affected by heavy rainfall and flooding in several localities. Local authorities have activated emergency measures, recommending the avoidance of travel to affected areas.
Thus, the Ministry recommends citizens postpone non-essential trips to the mentioned regions and strictly follow the directions of Italian authorities. For updated information, visit: www.protezionecivile.gov.it
