
Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/- Moldova and Romania will cooperate in tourism. The Moldovan government today approved the signing of an agreement between the two states.
According to the government decision, Romania and Moldova will implement investment projects of common interest in the field of tourism, will exchange experience in tourism infrastructure, organize and participate in specialized exhibitions and events to promote tourist destinations in both states and will organize study visits.
The agreement will be signed at a joint meeting of the governments of Moldova and Romania and will be valid indefinitely.
According to the data provided by the accommodation establishments, the Republic of Moldova was visited in 2016 by about 30 thousand Romanian citizens and in 2017 their number increased by 20%.
Moldova has signed cooperation agreements in the field of tourism with more than 20 states.
