Anticorruption officers make searches at bailiff from Moldovan capital, prosecuted in file on abuse of office

Anti-corruption officers and prosecutors today conducted searches in a criminal file targeting a bailiff and a creditor's representative, prosecuted for abuse of office with serious consequences.

According to the National Anticorruption Center (CNA), the two allegedly devised an illegal scheme during an enforcement procedure, through which the debtor was dispossessed of a real estate property located in the Chisinau municipality. The investigated acts fall within the sphere of abuse of office, committed by persons in positions of responsibility.

Following searches carried out at the homes and workplaces of the men, officers and prosecutors have seized important materials for the criminal file. The suspects will be prosecuted at large.

CNA officers are continuing actions, in order to identify and document all individuals involved.
