Fuel prices drop
Fuel prices have decreased by about 1% in recent days, and this trend will continue at the end of the current week, when petrol and diesel prices will drop by 0.03 – 0.06 lei per liter.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) announced today that the price reduction is due to a slight decrease in international Platts quotations, as well as the appreciation of the national currency against the US dollar.
Additionally, ANRE emphasizes that the recent fluctuations should be interpreted as temporary corrections. This is due to the external factors, such as the volatility of international oil prices or geopolitical uncertainties, which continue to be the main causes influencing fuel prices both on the international market and in the Republic of Moldova.
Thus, in the next three days, petrol will cost 23.15 lei decreasing by 0.03 lei. At the same time, for diesel, drivers will pay 0.06 lei less, with ANRE setting the price at 20.59 lei.
