Moldovan General Police Inspectorate increases patrols on national roads toward border crossing points
The General Police Inspectorate (IGP) is increasing road patrols on national roads toward state border crossing points. This measure is implemented in the context of the heightened transport flow recorded during the winter holidays period.
According to the IGP, the targeted areas are roads leading to the border, where there is a noticeable increase in car traffic, as well as adjacent national roads.
“Police officers are on-site, in order to direct traffic in crowded areas, prevent traffic incidents, maintain traffic flow and provide information to drivers. The actions aim to ensure safe, orderly and smooth road traffic for the benefit of all citizens,” noted the IGP.
In the context, drivers are urged to follow police instructions, adjust their speed to road conditions, exercise patience in crowded areas and plan their travel in advance.
