Moldovan Labour Ministry launches help desk providing information on opening, work of family-type creches
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (MMPS) today launched a Help Desk, providing answers to questions regarding the opening and work of family-type creches.
According to MMPS, the new Help Desk serves as a liaison point between providers and experts, facilitating the registration and organization process of these services.
“By regulating these services, we provide an alternative for child care, parents, and especially women, so that they can enhance their potential in the labor market and balance professional and family life,” said Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu.
Thus, parents and all those interested in alternative child care services now have an essential resource for finding answers to questions on legal and administrative requirements, the list of necessary documents for registering a family-type creche and the standards for opening and operating family-type creches.
People can call the Green Line: +373 611 122 240, available as of Monday till Friday, between 9:00 and 18:00. More information can also be accessed at: https://serviciialternative.gov.md/ or you can send questions to the email address servicii.alternative@social.gov.md, in order to receive responses in writing.
Family-type child care services are provided at the caregiver’s home or temporary residence for a group of up to five children aged up to three years. These services not only ensure care in a friendly and safe environment, but also contribute to the development of children’s social skills through interaction and play.
So far, 22 family-type creches have been opened in various regions of Moldova.
