Moldovan railroad state enterprise extends movement of trains Chisinau-Odessa, Chisinau-Socola
Chisinau, 16 January /MOLDPRES/ – The train from Chisinau – Odessa will resume its circulation since 20 January on the days of Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This timetable will be valid for a month, and possibly extended, if it maintains economically convenient passengers flow.
The decision on the Chisinau – Odessa train was taken in accordance with an agreement between the State Enterprise "Railroad of Moldova" (CFM) and the Railway Administration of Ukraine. Thanks to this collaboration, supported by EUBAM (European Union Mission for support at Moldovan and Ukrainian border), customs control for passengers on that route is at Chisinau railroad station.
"The customs control is conducted before the passengers get on the train and not repeated at the border. The decision is for the benefit of passengers, who as such save about an hour on the road", indicated CFM in a press release.
The train will start from Chisinau at 8.11 and reach Odessa at 12.25. On its return, the train will leave at 16.00 and arrive in Chisinau at 20.15.
At the same time, SE "Railroad of Moldova" announced that it would be extended train circulation between Chisinau – Socola (Iasi, Romania). The train will run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That schedule will be maintained, also depending on passenger demand.
The train will start from Chisinau railroad station at 06.43, and when return, it will leave Socola station at 17.12.
