National roads passable in Moldova
The National Road Administration (AND) announced on the morning of Monday, 2 February that roads in the national network are passable. The carriageway is dry across the entire country, and only certain sections remain icy.
According to the AND, over the last 24 hours road workers have continued patrol and intervention works to prevent and combat slipperiness in the North, Centre and South regions.
During the night, teams intervened as needed in Florești, Sângerei and Ștefan Vodă, on routes R30, R31 and G34. In total, more than 20 tons of anti-skid material were spread, with four special vehicles involved.
At the same time, Drumuri company teams are carrying out necessary works to repair potholes that have appeared in the carriageway as a result of recent adverse weather conditions. The works are taking place on routes M1, km 41; M1, km 64–65 (within the perimeter of Condrița and Căpriana localities); M5, Briceni section; G99, km 37–39, Basarabeasca section.
The interventions are being carried out as a matter of urgency in order to restore safe traffic conditions and prevent further road incidents.
Road workers warn that during the cold season, due to temperature variations, freezing and precipitation, potholes may appear on the carriageway, which is why it is important to constantly adapt speed to road conditions.
