National Wine Day, 25th edition, brings together around 100,000 people and over 110 producers in PMAN

About 100,000 people from Moldova and abroad participated in National Wine Day on Saturday and Sunday. The event took place in the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN) and brought together more than 110 wine producers.

According to the General Inspectorate of Police (GIP), approximately 55,000 visitors attended on Saturday and 45,000 on Sunday.

“National Wine Day took place in conditions of order and safety, bringing together tens of thousands of visitors from Moldova and abroad. We thank citizens for their responsible behavior, civic spirit, and compliance with police recommendations, thereby contributing to the smooth running of the event,” the GIP said.

This year, the Republic of Moldova marked the 25th edition of National Wine Day, an event that, over a quarter of a century, has become one of the country’s most important celebrations dedicated to its cultural and economic heritage.

The anniversary edition was held under the signs of tradition, achievement, and the transformations undergone by Moldova’s wine industry. From the first editions, when the celebration was primarily an opportunity to promote local wines, the event has evolved into a platform showcasing the entire sector, from grape growers and winemakers to spirits producers, oenology specialists, and entrepreneurs in wine tourism.
