Moldovan government to provide Apa-Canal Chisinau enterprise with three additional pumps to draw water from Dniester

The Apa-Canal Chisinau joint-stock company will receive three additional high-capacity pumps from the state reserves for the water intake facility on the Dniester River. The government’s spokesperson, Dumitru Ciorici, has made statements to this effect. He specified that the operator’s request had been received by the government and the National Crisis Management Commission (CNMC).

According to Dumitru Ciorici, the request was submitted earlier today and concerns additional equipment to supplement the one already provided to the operator in last August.

“The government and the National Crisis Management Commission received a request a few hours ago from S.A. Apa-Canal Chisinau for three additional high-capacity pumps from the state reserves for the water intake facility on the Dniester River, in addition to the five already received in August,” the government’s spokesperson said.

He noted that the authorities would approve the request and had started the necessary procedures to transfer the equipment to the operator.

“Consequently, the government and the CNMC will approve the request submitted by S.A. Apa-Canal Chisinau. The necessary documents, including the relevant order, are currently being prepared. The pumps will be prepared and technically inspected before being transferred to the operator,” Dumitru Ciorici said.

The three pumps will be used at the water intake facility on the Dniester River, managed by S.A. Apa-Canal Chisinau. The equipment will be transferred, after the administrative procedures have been completed and the pumps have undergone technical inspections.
