Rains affect localities in two districts of Moldova
Chisinau, 27 July /MOLDPRES/ – The localities of two districts and Gagauzian autonomy were affected by the rains on 26 July.
According to the Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service’s data, in Comrat city, Gagauz-Yeri, the strong wind snatched and damaged about 350 s/m of metal roof tiles of a pig farm roof. Also, in Capaclia village, Cantemir district, the wind affected four hectares of vineyard and in the Copceac village of Gagauz autonomy, the hailstones destroyed about 120 ha of sunflower and about 140 ha of corn.
The severe consequences of the rain were also recorded in Terebna village, Edinet district, where the wind damaged about 80 s/m of metal tile on the school roof.
The committees for local emergency situations are expected to estimate the caused material damage.
According to the State Hydrometeorological Service’s info, unstable weather and rain with electric discharge are forecasted in the upcoming days.
