Reevaluation at Central Court of Appeal: Magistrate failed external assessment
The Judges' Evaluation Commission announced the completion of reevaluation procedures for judges Ruxanda Pulbere and Igor Chiroșca from the Central Court of Appeal and the submission of the reports to the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM), which is set to review them,.
Following the reevaluation, the Commission upheld its recommendations from the initial evaluations. Thus, Judge Ruxanda Pulbere did not pass the external assessment, a conclusion confirmed by the Commission during the reevaluation procedure.
In the case of Judge Igor Chiroșca, Evaluation Team A of the Commission decided that he passed the external assessment, meeting the ethical and financial integrity criteria outlined by legislation.
The Commission specifies that the reevaluation procedures focused exclusively on the aspects previously highlighted by the Superior Council of Magistracy, in the decisions whereby the Commission's initial reports were rejected and reevaluation was ordered.
With the submission of the two reports, the Judges' Evaluation Commission no longer has ongoing evaluation or reevaluation procedures targeting sitting judges from the Courts of Appeal. Thus, the Superior Council of Magistracy is to decide on accepting or rejecting the formulated recommendations.
