Environmental impact permits for industrial and economic activities to be issued through single-window system
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the Regulation on organization and provision of public services for issuing integrated environmental permit and environmental permit. The draft establishes clear, uniform and modern procedures for authorizing activities with environmental impact.
Thus, a single-window system will be set up, allowing for the submission of documents and providing technical assistance and guidance. Additionally, the procedures for issuing permits will be available electronically, through the Automated Information System for the Management and Issuance of Permits (SIA GEAP).
The draft will contribute to the efficiency of public services, increase transparency, and strengthen a coherent administrative framework that supports both environmental protection and responsible economic development.
The integrated environmental permit is a permit issued by the Environmental Agency for a period of 12 years and grants the right to operate a facility and/or conduct industrial and economic activities with significant environmental risk. It combines in a single document several permits that were previously obtained separately.
The environmental permit is issued for a period of six years and grants the right to conduct industrial and economic activities with low environmental risk.
