Students from Moldova win four medals at International Chemistry Olympiad

The Olympic team of Moldova has won one gold medal, two silver ones and one bronze medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad, held from in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on July 10-19.

As many as 364 students from 93 countries participated in the 58th edition of the competition. Moldova was represented by the four students, accompanied by Ion Bulimestru, PhD in Chemistry and associate professor at Moldova State University, as team leader, and by Vasilii Graur, PhD in Chemistry and scientific researcher at the same institution, as deputy team leader.

The Education and Research Ministry, together with the National Agency for Curriculum and Assessment, expressed thanks to the members of the Republican Chemistry Olympiad Council for their involvement in training the national team and congratulated the awarded students, their teachers and parents for the results achieved.
