UPDATE 10.10 // Truck traffic temporarily restricted at entry into country through Leușeni and Sculeni border crossing points

Truck traffic entering the Republic of Moldova is temporarily restricted at this time due to bad weather. The measure has been imposed by the national authorities to prevent traffic blockages and the occurrence of risky situations.

At present, in order to ensure road safety, the national authorities have temporarily restricted the crossing of trucks through the Leușeni and Sculeni border crossing points, on the inbound direction to the country.

According to the Border Police, the restriction concerns the road sections Balaban–Giurgiulești and Cahul–Giurgiulești. Under the conditions, truck traffic is temporarily suspended through the Cahul–Oancea and Giurgiulești–Galați border crossing points, on the inbound direction to the Republic of Moldova.

The authorities say they will provide additional information as soon as the restrictions are lifted.
