
Truck & Bus operation starts in Moldova; law enforcers inspect vehicles used for passenger, goods transport
The National Police today launched the Truck & Bus operation, aimed at enhancing road safety through the rigorous inspection of vehicles meant for passenger and goods transport.
According to the cited source, during this week, police crews will check whether the vehicles have technical issues, are unauthorizedly modified, or equipped with unapproved devices, such as Xenon or LED light sources.
Also, the existence of periodic technical inspections and mandatory motor liability insurance will be verified.
Police attention will also focus on compliance with legal norms regarding passenger and goods transport, including identifying individuals conducting illegal transport activities. Vehicles with tinted windows on the front doors will also be subjected to inspections.
The main goal of this operation is to reduce traffic risks and prevent road accidents, by ensuring the technical and legal compliance of vehicles involved in public and goods transport.
