Voted in Moldova's parliament: World War II veterans to receive financial assistance of 30,000 lei
The World War II veterans from Moldova will benefit from a financial assistance worth 30,000 lei, in the context of marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory over the fascism. Seventy seven MPs voted for the draft law stipulating this.
Under the document, the overall sum includes a material aid of 10,000 lei, already provided for by the legislation, to which an additional of 20,000 lei is added. Presently, there are 24 veterans of the Second World War in Moldova.
The sums will be paid by the National Social Insurances House (CNAS) till 9 May 2025, through the providers of social services. The beneficiaries will receive the money on bank cards or will be able to take them at post offices.
