Warning misinformation! New fake letter in public space
Chisinau, Sep 26 /MOLDPRES/- Authorities are warning about a fake letter spreading in public space, claiming to be a reply from the European Commission on requests for support for Moldovan agriculture.
Government spokesman Daniel Voda said the letter is a fake. He explained that "the format and content errors confirm that the document does not come from an official EU institution."
"We urge citizens and our partners in the agricultural sector to treat information sources carefully and always check the veracity of information. All official information is communicated exclusively through our official communication channels and in cooperation with the European institutions", said Daniel Voda.
Recently, the authorities have warned citizens about the distribution of false information online.
In the most recent case, an alleged order was circulated online concerning the mandatory introduction of overtime in universities. The Ministry of Education and Research explained that this was a fake.
Under these circumstances, the authorities urge citizens to get information from verified and official sources.
