Moldovan athlete won bronze at World Wrestling Championships

Chisinau, Aug. 17 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan athlete Eugen Mihalcean won the bronze medal at the U-20 World Wrestling Championships, held in Jordan.

The athlete won the medal within the weight category of up to 86 kg, in the age category of up to 20 years. Eugen Mihalcean managed to win the fights, successively defeating the representatives of Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Iran, losing in the semi-final to the future champion, the representative of Japan.

The remarkable performance on the international arena was achieved with the sport of emeritus coaches Anatolie Zacon, Gîlcă Maxim, Roman Dermenji and Boris Savva.
