
Moldova's national football team ties match with Albania for EURO 2024
Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s national football team on 17 November evening tied the match with Albania 1:1; this is the last but one match of the qualifiers for the European Football Championships. President Maia Sandu was in the stands of the Zimbru stadium, where the match between the teams of Moldova and Albania took place.
Vladislav Baboglo scored the goal of Moldova’s team. Following this score, Moldova keeps its chances of qualification for EURO-2024. ‘’Yet, we depend on the score of the game between Poland and the Czech Republic, played yesterday evening as of 21:45. Moldova will play its last match from the qualifiers on Monday, 20 November, in the Czech Republic,’’ the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) said.
President Maia Sandu attended the match played between the teams of Moldova and Albania in Chisinau on 17 November evening. ‘’Come on, Moldova! Big emotions today evening at the Moldova-Albania football match of the qualifiers for the World Football Championships. I was happy to welcome the players of our national team and to congratulate them and the coach of Moldova’s national team, Serghei Clescenco, on the nice match and the emotions they gave us,’’ the head of state said.
Moldova will end its campaign of qualification for EURO-2024 in an away match against the Czech Republic on 20 November.
