
Balti civil servants trained to correctly apply law on integrity warners
Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/- 80 civil servants, economic agents and media representatives in Bălți participated on Wednesday in the first training seminar on the normative and institutional framework on integrity warnings.
The training was organized within the project "Citizens speak: promoting democratic reform in the interest of Moldovan citizens", implemented by the Public Association "Center for Analysis and Prevention of Corruption" (CAPC), with the support of Freedom House.
Thus, the training participants were acquainted with the term “integrity warning”, with the fact who is the integrity warning and the presumptions from which it benefits. The trainers also explained the essence of internal and external disclosure of illegal practices, what are the obligations of employers to react to disclosures of illegal practices by employees and to ensure the protection of whistleblowers, but also what are the mechanisms for protecting whistleblowers.
In order to learn how to correctly apply the Law on Integrity Warnings, in addition to the informative part, the participants were involved in solving exact cases related to integrity warnings. They thanked the trainers for the information and explanations provided.
During the project, training seminars will be organized in other localities in the country - Soroca, Cahul, Leova, Cimișlia, Causeni, Orhei and Chisinau.
