European Village: Three playgrounds and sports fields built in Codreanca, Străseni
Chisinau, Apr. 7 /MOLDPRES/-Over 2.1 million lei (105 thousand euros) were invested in Codreanca, Străseni district in the construction of three new playgrounds and sports fields, equipped with modern equipment. The works were carried out as part of the European Village Program.
The playgrounds have been designed and built according to the latest safety standards so that children and adults in the community can play and exercise in a safe and healthy environment.
The National Office for Regional and Local Development (ONDRL) team and the local community have collaborated throughout the project, ensuring that the objectives are achieved at the highest level.
ONDRL deputy head Gheorghe Movileanu was present at the reception event at the completion of the works. “We believe that the three playgrounds with sports equipment will become the popular place for the community. The project in the village of Codreanca is a successful example of the European Village program, which aims to improve the quality of life of people in the localities of the Republic of Moldova, by financing infrastructure projects", the official said.
Străseni district benefits from 25 local development projects. The total investment for their implementation amounts to 85 million lei. So far, six projects have been completed in the district.
