
Five localities in Moldova part of IT study project
Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/- Residents of Balti, Cahul, Ungheni, Sangerei and Taraclia will have more opportunities to study information technology. This is after the TEKWILL project expanded its programs nationwide and a number of courses are available for several regions of the country.
Under Tekwill Academy, 28 candidates selected through the competition will be able to learn more IT specializations and will benefit from a 70% coverage of study costs. The educational initiative is implemented with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Sweden, within the project Development of the Center of Excellence in ICT - Tekwill. The project aims to expand development opportunities in regions and create conditions for connecting human capital with the possibilities offered by local IT companies. The courses are to be held in February - July 2021.
"Anyone can register to get a scholarship offered by Tekwill Academy, whether they are young students, qualified specialists or people who have no education in the field of IT. However, there are certain eligibility criteria, which candidates must meet: age 18-35; completed high school studies; current residence - Bălți, Cahul, Ungheni, Sângerei, Taraclia; the possibility to cover 30% of the full cost of the study program; the firm intention to apply the knowledge obtained in employment”, sources under the project said.
Tekwill Academy is an educational initiative that provides courses and technical training. In 2018 - 2020, over 150 specialists have certified their knowledge in the field. Tekwill Academy also offers training programs for international certifications: Cisco, Oracle, Cyber Security & Networks, SQL Fundamentals, JAVA Fundamentals etc.
Tekwill Academy was created and operates within the project Development of the Center of Excellence in ICT in Moldova, implemented by the National Association of ICT Companies with the support of USAID and Sweden.
