Moldovan parliament speaker conveys message on National Culture Day

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has conveyed a congratulatory message on the occasion of the National Culture Day, emphasizing the essential role of cultural figures in preserving heritage and strengthening the national identity.

“Today, on the National Culture Day, I want us to celebrate people of culture – those who play an essential role in creating cultural values and works, preserving heritage and strengthening social cohesion. Through creativity, responsibility and dedication, you are the ones who turn culture into a bridge between the past, present and future,” Grosu said.

The speaker highlighted the importance of art, theatre, music, literature and cinema, which contribute to maintaining traditions and consolidating national identity:

“You are the ones who unite us around our traditions and who make sure that we cherish our art and culture. Thank you for your care for our national culture, and I wish you inspiration and the strength to continue to unite us through the values that define us.”
