Grants worth up to 1.5 million lei available for enterprises investing in energy efficiency solutions in Moldova
Small and medium-sized enterprises can benefit from grants of up to 1.5 million lei. The funds will be invested in energy efficiency technologies and renewable energy.
Financial support will be provided under the Grant Agreement between the Public Institution Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) and the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) for the implementation of the project titled, Strong Businesses and Communities for Moldova, approved by the government today.
The total value of the non-reimbursable financial assistance is of 1.85 million euros. From this amount, the government will provide non-reimbursable funding for at least 24 small and medium-sized enterprises.
Each selected company will receive a grant of up to 1.5 million lei (around 77 thousand euros), representing up to 50 per cent of the investment costs.
The Project’s overall budget will reach 3.68 million euros, of which 1.85 million euros is the grant provided by GIZ and 1.83 million euros is the contribution of entrepreneurs to the implementation of investment projects.
Thus, small and medium-sized enterprises will benefit from technological modernization, streamlining of internal processes and cutting of energy costs, which will contribute to increased productivity and competitiveness of these businesses.
The period of the project’s implementation is from 1 December 2025 to 30 September 2026.
