Moldovan Food Safety Agency withdraws consignment of apple, cherry juice from market
Chisinau, 6 May /MOLDPRES/ - The National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) has informed consumers that it withdrew a consignment of apple and cherry juice from sale.
According to ANSA, the food sector operator, Kaufland Ltd, initiated the procedure of withdrawal of the product, Vreau din Romania Suc de mere și vișine 3L (Willing Apple and Cherry Juice from Romania 3L) from the trade network and recalling from clients. This batch was found in the shop Kaufland Orhei.
„Under the legislation, operators in the food sector owning non-conforming products are obliged to withdraw them from market and cooperate with the National Food Safety Agency as to the actions undertaken to avoid or reduce the risks for the human health, posed by a non-conforming food product. The food sector operators who hold non-conforming food products applicable in the food sector, who took no measure to withdraw these products from market, are liable to legal responsibility,’’ the institution said.
The people who purchased these products are asked not to consume them and have right to return them to the shop where they bought these goods.
