Moldovan government approves regulations on conduct of gambling activities
Chisinau, 01 August /MOLDPRES/ – The gambling associations or companies that are state monopolies will have clear business rules. The Executive has approved today the standard rules for organising and running lotteries, setting operation of slot with cash machines. It also approved the regulations for sports betting/sporting events, as well as organisation of gambling through electronic communications networks.
The types of regulations refer to rights, obligations of gambling organiser, and prohibitions applied to him, rights of player, obligations and prohibitions, requirements of gaming venue and gaming room. The documents provide the value and forms of financial guarantee, and conditions for payment of earnings.
According to regulations, the Public Services Agency (ASP) coordinates and registers gambling rules developed by organiser and keeps track of gambling registers.
In Moldova, the activity of organising and conducting lotteries and other gambling is a state monopoly and is realised by joint stock company "Loteria Nationala a Moldovei" (The national lottery of Moldova).
