Moldovan producers of medicines to be able to import raw materials through simplified procedure
Chisinau, 1 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan producers of medicines will be able to import raw materials, packing and materials through a simplified procedure. The parliament today adopted, in the final reading, a draft on the amendment of the Fiscal Code, of the law on the customs tariff and the law on the pharmaceutical activity.
Under the document, decision-makers will provide exemptions related to the import of raw materials, materials and packing, based on the import authorization issued by the regulatory in the medicine sector – the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, without the need for the existence of an additional list, established by the government.
According to the draft law’s authors, presently, the local producers of medicines face excessive demands of import authorizations, which is an abuse and bring significant damages. For this reason, one type of medicines produced by a native company can cost several times higher than the same type produced abroad. Thus, the draft’s implementation will have positive effect also on the quality, as well as the capacity to export medicines produced in Moldova.
