Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/ - Banks will have possibility to allocate more funds for the financing of economic agents through bank credits, concomitantly fitting the limits regulated. The executive committee of the National Bank of Moldova (BNM) approved a new regulation on big expositions, as well as amendments to the regulation on banks’ transactions with persons affiliated.

The decisions were taken in order to facilitate the real sector’s access to financing from licenced banks.

Thus, the regulation on big expositions provides for a way of calculation of the big expositions’ value. At the same time, the new regulation will stimulate the banks to create new and attractive bank products for the real economy.

The amendments to the regulation on bank’s transactions with its affiliated people transpose the same way of calculating the value of expositions as for the big expositions. At the same time, decision-makers have improved the characteristic features of identifying affiliated persons by the National Bank within the supervising activity, in order to avoid the groundless qualification of the affiliates.

According to BNM, the amendments were possible due to the fact that the banking sector had become stable and resilient. In the process of approval, both regulations were consulted with the banking sector and development partners.

In late last February, the total balance recorded a 1.4-per cent growth against the month before and an 11.3-per cent increase against February 2018. At the same time, a 25-per cent and, respectively, 56-per cent increase is characteristic for consumption and real estate credits against February 2018, the Expert-Grup Independent Analytical Centre said. The volume of financing provided in the national currency tends to strengthen, reaching a share of 62.5 per cent, followed by the one in euros, with a share of about 25.5 per cent.
