Chisinau, 2 September /MOLDPRES/- A project to strengthen the organic products sector in the Eastern Partnership countries, funded by the EU4Business initiative will be implemented in Moldova by the MOVCA Association in partnership with similar organizations in Georgia, Lithuania and Italy.
The project will be carried out in September 2021 - January 2022, and its purpose is to contribute to increasing the quality of organic agricultural products by intensifying cooperation between farmers and processors and increasing their visibility.
The general objective of the actions to be implemented is to stimulate trade relations and create business opportunities between the Eastern Partnership countries and those of the European Union.
To this end, producers and processors of organic products will be provided with information on accessing or expanding their presence on the EU market, trade benefits and boosting business relations.
The actions planned within the project are related to the organization of Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, participation in fairs and exhibitions, networking, individual mentoring assistance and activities to support innovation.
At the same time, the business relations between small and medium enterprises from the Republic of Moldova and Georgia will be stimulated, which will be selected throughout the implementation of the project.
These partnerships will help strengthen the value chain of organic food by ensuring the interaction between producers and processors in the two countries to create a final product for the EU market and share best practices.
At the selection stage, small and medium-sized enterprises will fill in a registration form, to provide information about their experience and needs and to establish the most effective ways to facilitate partnerships, as well as individual assistance packages.
