Three PhD students of USMF "Nicolae Testemițanu" to receive Government Excellence Scholarship

Three PhD students of the Doctoral School in Medical Sciences within Nicolae Testemițanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy will receive the Government Excellence Scholarship for 2026. The list of PhD students selected as winners following the competition was published by the Ministry of Education and Research.

The young researchers who will benefit from the Government Excellence Scholarship are: Dorin Jelaga – 2nd year, PhD program in Psychiatry and Narcology; Radislav Coșulean – 3rd year, PhD program in Psychiatry and Narcology; Felicia Darii – 4th year, PhD program in Medical Biochemistry.

The Government Excellence Scholarship is awarded annually to PhD students enrolled in full-time and part-time studies, starting from the second year of study, who have fully completed the advanced training and scientific research program established by their doctoral supervisor, have obtained the number of credits provided in the curriculum of the doctoral school, have achieved outstanding academic performance, and actively participate in the social life of the institution.

The scholarship competition for PhD students is part of the governmental program to stimulate the performance of young researchers. By granting the scholarships, the Government aims to optimize the training process of scientific staff and to motivate young people to engage in research and innovation activities.
