Head of state says Moldovan citizens, no matter their occupation, language, ethnic group, age, other criteria, everybody have room under Moldova's Tricolour Flag
Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/ - On the National Flag Day, marked today, President Maia Sandu, along with Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, participated in a ceremony of honouring the Tricolor, held outside the Government building, the presidential press service has reported.
In her message, the head of state said that the national flag was the most eloquent symbol of a state, which always reminds us who are we and that each of us has a place under this flag, as it shows the unity of the interests of all Moldova’s citizens.
„Our citizens, no matter the occupation, regardless of the language, ethnic group, age, other criteria, everybody have room under Moldova’s Tricolour. Therefore, we need everybody’s consolidation around this symbol, which is a sign of Europeanism and Latinity, of history, a symbol of our democratic aspirations and of peaceful community coexistence, an emblem of the republican spirit, materialization of the dream of equality of rights, towards which people aspire. Let us hold the head and the flag up! Honour to Tricolour,!’’ President Maia Sandu said.
