Moldovan parliament's standing bureau approves agenda for September 24 plenary meeting

The parliament’s standing bureau has approved the agenda for the September 24 plenary meeting. The MPs will examine 17 draft laws, 8 of which are marked with the EU symbol.

At the second reading, the lawmakers will consider the draft on combating abusive judicial proceedings against public mobilization, as well as the draft amending the Law on the Constitutional Court. The second reading will also cover the draft on regulating the practice of medical and pharmaceutical professions, and draft laws  amending the regulatory framework on the finality of settlement in payment and settlement systems for financial instruments and on the partial liberalization of foreign exchange regulation.

In the first reading, the MPs will examine drafts aimed at modernizing centralized heat supply systems in the municipalities of Chisinau and Balti, developing energy communities, increasing energy production from renewable sources and developing the biofuels market.

The agenda of the plenary meeting also includes the draft on ratifying the Agreement between the governments of Moldova and Romania on the construction, operation, maintenance and repair of transport infrastructure of strategic interest. In addition, the parliament will consider, in the first reading, drafts concerning the independence of the National Bank of Moldova, the rehabilitation of crime victims, fire safety and civil protection, the integration of foreigners in Moldova, tobacco control, the development of the social assistance system, the digitalization of social services and the professional development of staff.
