Issue of illegal posts in Security Zone remains in focus of Joint Control Commission
Chisinau, 7 July /MOLDPRES/ - The members of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) convened at a meeting in Bender today, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
According to the working agenda, the Commission considered 3 weekly reports of the Joint Military Command. In all reports, the military observers covered the presence of the posts unilaterally set by Tiraspol in the Security Zone starting from 26 April 2022.
Afterwards, discussions were held on these provocative actions of the Transnistrian structures and Moldova’s Delegation reiterated its requests on their unconditional withdrawal from the perimeter of responsibility of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.
Chisinau’s position on the concerned subject is firm and comes from the provisions of the ceasefire agreement from 21 July 1992 and the other acts of the peacekeeping operation at Dniester.
At the meeting, JCC adopted no decision to this end and is to resume the discussions in one week.
