
Moldovan foreign minister meets more Norwegian officials
Chisinau, 2 June /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Natalia Gherman met Norwegian Minister for European Economic Area (EEA) and EU Affairs Vidar Helgesen and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bard Glad Pedersen in Oslo on 1 June, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The officials addressed the bilateral cooperation, highlighting the dynamic on the rise of the ties between the two states, implementation of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement, collaboration in the energy sector, as well as regional security. The sides also approached Moldova’s goals within the Eastern Partnership.
Natalia Gherman thanked the Norwegian government for the assistance provided to Moldova to promote reforms and stressed the importance to expand it in the future, including in the energy area. In the context of implementation of the Free Trade Area, Gherman presented the investment opportunities in Moldova, especially the ones in the agro-industrial sector.
For their part, the Norwegian officials reiterated the support of Norway for Moldova’s European path and continuing the democratic reforms for Moldova getting closer to the EU standards.
