Moldovan government to finance from state budget 23 places in postdoctoral study programs
Chisinau, Aug. 3 /MOLDPRES/- In 2022-2023 academic year, the Government will finance, from the state budget, 23 places in the postdoctoral study programs. A Decision in this sense was approved today during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Thus, seven places will be allocated for research in the field of "Social Challenges", and for studies in the field of health, six places with budget funding have been allocated. Another five places are made available for the study program "Sustainable agriculture, food security and food safety", three places for "Environment and climate change" and two places for "Economic competitiveness and innovative technologies".
The plan for admission to postdoctoral study programs will contribute to the formation of highly qualified scientific staff, in order to ensure the needs of the labor market and the academic and research environment.
The advanced training of scientific staff through postdoctoral study programs is a priority of the policies of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of Education and Research, being carried out according to the development plans of organizations in the fields of research and innovation.
The draft Government Decision was publicly consulted and approved by experts in the field in accordance with the legislation in force.
