Moldovan PM assures policemen of government's every support
Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has participated in an event dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the foundation of the National Police. At the ceremony, the PM expressed gratitude for the activity of the policemen and awarded Honorary Diplomas, ‘’as a token of gratitude for the irreproachable service,’’ the government’s communication department has reported.
The prime minister noted that the policemen had acted with promptitude in diverse situations: helped communities hit by natural calamities, ensured the public order, unmasked and counteracted attempts of fraud by crime rings.
Also, PM Dorin Recean also said that the policemen had defended the independence and sovereignty of Moldova, sacrificing their own lives.
„It is essential that we combine the need to ensure the public order with the observance of citizens’ rights. We are in the service of the society and each our action must show this commitment. You are our partners in this mission and I assure you of the government’s every support,’’ the prime minister said.
In the context, PM Dorin Recean emphasized that the citizens’ trust in the police continued to grow and statistics data show that, in the first nine months of this year, the number of offences had decreased against the 2023 year.
According to the prime minister, among the priorities for the 2025 year, there are the continuous combating of the criminality and de-structuring of crime rings, enhancement of the safety on roads and citizens’ protection.
