
Moldovan president has meeting with Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs
President Maia Sandu today met Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria Beate Meinl-Reisinger, on an official visit to Chisinau.
Austria, a member state of the European Union for three decades and a neutral country, is a firm supporter of Moldova's European path. Over the years, the bilateral cooperation has materialized through projects implemented by the Austrian Development Agency and investments in education, the energy sector, and rural development.
During the meeting, the officials discussed the reforms carried out by Moldova in the process of joining the European Union, the security challenges in the region, as well as efforts to bring peace back to the European continent.
President Maia Sandu expressed gratitude for Austria's continuous support and emphasized the importance of close cooperation with European partners in strengthening democracy, economic resilience and the security of Moldova.
