Moldovan PM in Nisporeni says all settlements of Moldova to benefit from accession to EU

Prime Minister Dorin Recean today had discussions with more residents of the Bratuleni commune, central Nisporeni district. The main topics addressed at the meeting with citizens were the government's achievements in recent years, the visions of the settlement’s development and the direction in which Moldova is heading.

The PM said that, in the past four years, the minimum pension had been increased almost threefold, salaries for teachers and doctors had risen, a one-time childbirth allowance was introduced, and compensations were provided during the winter as well as aids for various social categories. At the same time, about 700 kilometers of roads were built, almost 200 schools and kindergartens were modernized and a record sum of three billion lei was invested in the country's hospitals.

According to the prime minister, these results prove that Moldova is on the right path and strengthening efforts in the process of European integration is important.

"Both Bratuleni and all settlements of Moldova will benefit from joining the European Union. It is crucial to stay united and keep the right way," said the PM.

The sides discussed also problems of the Bratuleni commune, particularly the lack of drinking water and the condition of roads.

The prime minister noted that, thanks to government’s investments, a water supply system had been constructed, but although the works have been completed, it is still not functional. Thus, Prime Minister Dorin Recean organized a joint meeting with the Nisporeni district council and the responsible companies, requesting the unblocking of the process and the urgent delivery of water. Connecting households to the system by linking the network to the main aqueduct will bring water from Romania to 13 localities from the Ungheni and Nisporeni districts.

At the same time, Prime Minister Dorin Recean expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the progress of the works of reconstruction on 6 kilometers of road between the localities of Bratuleni, Bolduresti and Valea Trestieni was only at 10 per cent, given that the contract was signed in November 2024 and the segment should be operational by October, this year. The PM asked the contractor to present a detailed weekly schedule, so that the project is implemented on term.
