
Moldovan president has meeting with Romanian foreign affairs minister
President Maia Sandu today in Chisinau met Romania's Foreign Affairs Minister Oana-Silvia Toiu, on an official visit to Moldova.
The head of state expressed gratitude for the constant and firm support provided by Romania to Moldova, both in the process of European integration and in economic development and strengthening democratic institutions.
The discussions focused on bilateral cooperation in key areas, such as infrastructure and energy. The officials emphasized the ongoing joint projects, including the construction of the road bridge at Ungheni, the Union Highway, the modernization of the Cantemir–Falciu railway network and the acceleration of work on electrical lines Straseni–Gutinas and Balti–Suceava. At the same time, the sides reiterated the need to reduce waiting times at the border.
The two officials also discussed threats to information security and agreed to boost the cooperation to combat disinformation. They also emphasized the importance of active support for Ukraine, which is defending the peace and security of the entire European continent.
