Moldovan premier meets representatives of local public authorities from Ialoveni district
Chisinau, 21 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Economic growth measures, supporting entrepreneurs and investments, implementing infrastructure projects, improving conditions in localities and speeding up European reforms were discussed yesterday at a meeting between Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița and representatives of local public authorities from the Ialoveni district, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Gavrilița said that one of the Government's goals for 2023 is economic growth and the creation of prerequisites for business development and investment attraction. She also referred to the Executive's policies aimed at increasing the quality of public services and strengthening the revenue base of local public authorities.
"In 2023, we set out to return to investments, ensure and increase the number of jobs and support entrepreneurs. We continue to focus our efforts on setting tax policies that support and encourage entrepreneurs. For the first time in the country's history, we have taken the decision to refund the value added tax paid to businesses that operate honestly and correctly and issue electronic invoices. We are starting the FACEM fund, meant for financing investments at fixed rates and for a longer term. In parallel, we are coming up with measures to increase investment attractiveness in the regions", the prime minister said.
Gavrilița spoke about the provisions of the APL Reform Strategy, including the voluntary amalgamation of localities aimed at increasing the administrative capacities of local authorities for the implementation of local and European projects. This involves several incentives, including higher allocations from the state budget for voluntarily amalgamated localities, but also additional financial resources for the remuneration of employees in these town halls.
Gavrilița urged the mayors to participate in the projects launched by the Executive and external partners, in order to develop localities and create better conditions for people.
For their part, the mayors spoke about the need to simplify the procedures for interaction between the state authorities, for obtaining cadastral documents in a limited time and the continuation of massive delimitations, the construction and rehabilitation of local roads, the passing of water basins under the subordination of APLs etc.
