Moldovan president discusses present situation in region with President of France

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today discussed the present situation in Moldova and in the region with President of France Emmanuel Macron, the presidential press service has reported.

In the context of the tension in Ukraine, President Macron gave assurances that France was with Moldova on this difficult period.

Also, the two officials referred to the way Moldova manages the process of receiving refugees coming from Ukraine. President Maia Sandu highlighted, in this respect, the organized effort of the authorities, as well as the wave of solidarity proved by the Moldovan citizens for the people coming from Ukraine.
