Moldovan, Swiss officials approach economic cooperation
Chisinau, July 19. /MOLDPRES/- Switzerland will provide additional support for the programs and projects carried out in Moldova. The priority directions for collaboration to use the available resources were discussed at a meeting between Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Guido Beltrani, director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Chisinau, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Part of the assistance will be used to support the state budget through the World Bank, and the other part will be redirected to finance projects in the field of health, agriculture, improving public services and living conditions in different regions of the country. Special attention will be paid to economic development, improving the energy efficiency of public and private buildings, as well as the socio-economic integration of Ukrainian refugees on the Moldovan labor market.
"Through joint Moldovan-Swiss projects, we achieve the Government's objective of supporting the communities in the country. We focus on increasing productivity, economic development, attracting investments and supporting local public authorities. It is important that citizens and the business environment throughout the country benefit from the best conditions for development," said Recean.
The officials approached the benefits of the Free Trade Agreement with the states of the European Free Trade Association, recently signed in Liechtenstein, which strengthens Moldovan-Swiss economic cooperation and facilitates trade in goods and services.
