Moldova, in solidarity with Ukraine: batch of humanitarian aid to be sent to Ukrainian people, who fight for peace of entire European continent
Moldova will provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine, in the context of constant attacks on critical infrastructure, unfriendly weather conditions, and as a sign of solidarity and gratitude for defending the entire European continent against the aggression of the Russian Federation for almost four years.
The batches of humanitarian assistance include various material goods in the energy sector – generators, transformers, conductors and cables. Medical equipment, special vehicles for emergency interventions, food products and essential goods will also be delivered.
The aforementioned goods are part of the state and mobilization reserves managed by the administrative authorities subordinated to the Interior Ministry (MAI), as well as the property of the Joint-Stock Company, Northern Electricity Distribution Networks. The transportation of the humanitarian aid will be ensured by MAI’s General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.
By approving this aid, the government expresses its support for the Ukrainian people. In the face of the challenges triggered by Russia’s aggression, solidarity represents an investment in our own security, and unity stays the strongest form of defense.
