Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi welcomed "the progress made in Jeddah by the US and Ukrainian delegations to achieving a just and lasting peace."

Earlier Moldovan President Maia Sandu also welcomed the peace talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
In a message posted on platform X, the president said "Moldova appreciates the commitment of the US and Ukraine, including the proposal for a 30-day ceasefire."
"The road to peace requires courage and real security guarantees for Ukraine," Maia Sandu said.
Yesterday, important talks took place in Jeddah between the Ukrainian delegation and US officials on solutions related to peace in Ukraine.
Ukraine agreed to accept a proposal for a 30-day ceasefire and take steps to restore lasting peace after Russia's invasion. The United States will communicate to Russia that Russian mutuality is the key to achieving peace.
