In a message on his official page, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization  Dumitru Alaiba announced that today's cabinet meeting will be the last one he will attend.

“It has been two and a half years of enormous work, in which I gave all my knowledge and energy to move things forward. Now it is time for the next step. I will continue to serve the country's interests as long as necessary and wherever I will be. I will continue to stand by President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean and the governing team, and I thank them for their trust,” Alaiba wrote.

He specified that “a new impulse is needed to accelerate the processes started to ensure economic growth.”

“It was the honor of my life to make my contribution. We move forward!” Alaiba added.

Dumitru Alaiba became Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy in 2022, under Gavrilița Government, and upon the appointment of a new Executive and the reform of the institution in February 2023, he assumed the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization in Recean Government.
