King Charles of United Kingdom congratulates Moldova on Independence Day
King Charles III of the United Kingdom today sent a congratulatory message to President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu and to the country’s citizens on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the proclamation of Independence, expressing his hope for strengthening the relations between the two states.
In the message addressed to the head of state, King Charles III, together with his wife, sends “his most sincere congratulations and warmest good wishes” to President Maia Sandu and the citizens of the Republic of Moldova.
“This day is a precious opportunity to reflect on the enduring friendship between our nations. I am deeply encouraged by the strength of our bilateral relations and remain committed to developing even closer cooperation in the years ahead,” the message reads.
The British monarch also referred to the common challenges faced by the two countries, especially those related to climate change and environmental protection.
“As we face the shared challenges of our times, in particular those related to climate change and the protection of the natural environment, I hope our countries will continue to work together in the pursuit of meaningful and lasting solutions,” King Charles III said.
At the end of his message, King Charles III and his wife extended to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova wishes for peace, prosperity and well-being for the year ahead.
The Republic of Moldova marks its Independence Day today. The Declaration of Independence was adopted by Parliament on August 27, 1991.
