Moldovan parliament's standing bureau approves agenda for plenary meetings from late February
The agenda for the parliament’s plenary meetings from the period February 20-28 was approved by the Standing Bureau today. The MPs will consider the initiative on the creation of the Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Prosecutor's Office, two EU-labeled legislative drafts and proposals for legislative amendments in the economic field.
The EU-labeled drafts concern the norms for making available on the market fertilizing products and concessions of works and services. At the same time, the parliament is set to ratify the Financing Agreement with the European Commission and France's National Territorial Cohesion Agency, enabling our country to benefit from European grants for the development of urban infrastructure and communities. Also, the lawmakers are to ratify the Memorandum with the UN, in order to get a software license, offered free for the first two years, concerning the implementation of passenger name record data in air transport.
The agenda of the upcoming plenary meetings also includes the initiative regarding the Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Prosecutor's Office, and the amendment of acts related to the declaration of wealth and personal interests. The MPs are to address drafts on the increase of the minimum pension for people with at least 40 years of work activity, as well as the organization and work of alternative childcare services.
Other drafts proposed for discussion at the plenary meetings relate to increasing compensation in cases of loss passenger luggage on flights or flight delays; legislative changes to avoid unjustified expenses incurred by citizens in cases of foreclosure; solutions to prevent the abusive towing of improperly parked cars in the capital.
Several economic initiatives regarding the declaration of public utility of national interest for the construction of some national public roads and the new U.S. Embassy headquarters in Moldova are also to be examined; amendments to the legislation regarding state control; the seventh package for reducing bureaucracy in the business environment.
A simple motion on the work of the Ministry of Health, submitted by the lawmakers of the faction of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, will be examined too.
On February 20, the parliament's plenary meeting will start at 10:00.
